Château de la Selve was established in 2002. Benoît had just graduated from the Beaune wine school and was realizing his dream: to create this vineyard in the southern Ardèche region, where he was certain the terroir possessed immense potential: its blazing sun and cool nights, its wild landscapes, its limestone soils redolent of garrigue, humus, and truffles…!

With his wife Florence, they have since practiced organic and biodynamic viticulture, preserving the environment and allowing the terroir to express itself. They are perpetually searching, in the vineyards for ever more vibrant soils and, in the cellar, for ever purer wines.
