A story that dates back to the 13th century.

The Château de la Selve was originally a fortified house on the borders of the Empire and then the Kingdom of France. It later became the hunting lodge of an illustrious family from Vivarais, the Dukes of Joyeuse, before becoming over the centuries a farm.

Benoît and Florence... a couple with ideas!

My family history predestined me to work in the vineyards; indeed, I count among my ancestors a large family of winemakers from the Rhône Valley, the Delas. From my adolescence, I spent a large part of my free time working in the cellars and vineyards of estates in the Rhône Valley.

Revealing the Ardèche terroir
in our wines

I am convinced that the Ardèche region has untapped potential: vineyards nestled in the heart of the garrigue, bathed in scorching sun by day but cool nights, and clay-limestone soils dating back to the Cretaceous period, imbued with aromas of truffle and humus.

In the vineyards, our goal is to promote soil health and the vine's natural defenses through organic and biodynamic practices, allowing minerality and finesse to express themselves in our wines.

In the cellar, we adopt a minimal-intervention approach, naturally guiding the wine throughout the vinification process to create vibrant wines that reflect our wonderful Ardèche terroir.
